Today I went to Frankfurt, but I'll go back again when it is Sunny because my mothers good friend Ute lives there and is absolutely wonderful to me.
Ute lives in Frankfurt in one of these high rise condos. They're awesome but awful when it comes to climbing the stairs.

Ute's cat Pheobe. So sweet.
Raspberry tort is so good. Thank you Ute!

This is the view of Frankfurt on my way downtown from Ute's.
In the distance is the pedestrian bridge. The bridge in the previous photo is a car bridge, but the other one was built only for walkers, which is so great.
At the foot of the pedestrian bridge. I thought it was interesting how these stairs still allow for people in wheelchairs, people with strollers, or bicycles to go up. It is named the "Eisen Steg"
This is a beautiful Catholic church that I'll get better photo's of in the future.

This is the courtyard in Downtown Frankfurt where there are many beautiful things I have yet to photograph.
Starbucks next to a Subway. Ha.
So, this is a super example of a German shopping center. The shops line the walls and a ramp winds around the sides. The entire thing is fairly narrow.
A street performer. These guys are really nice, like a British soldier mime. They'll shake your hand if you want. There are also people drawing masterpieces on the street in chalk and other playing flutes with little amps.
Sadly, there are more beggars than I ever remembered, but you can't give them money. The problem is that they are mostly from eastern Europe and have "masters" almost like a pimp, who put them on the street to beg and then take all the money.

OK, this was awesome. Another similar shopping center, but on the outside you see this funnel shape. When you move inside, the funnel continues down through the entire building, ending on the ground floor. It was absolutely beautiful.
The smoking bunny of Germany? hmmm...
Things I wanted to buy cost to much. This satchel was so soft.
So, to ride the train here you have to plug in your destination number (all listed on the right). You are charged based on how far you are traveling. It cost me about $10 to get to Frankfurt and back. Once that is done, you pick from different options below, for example one way, round trip, senior and many others that I don't quite understand because I get lost in train stations.
Finally the train. As you see here, the sign says s1, and so does the train. Here. 8 trains often use one track, so there are detailed schedules. My train was the S2 to Dietzenbach and came right on time at 7:15.
Ute's cat Pheobe. So sweet.

Pheobe looks like a skinner, more German version of Brent. I will make you one of the satchels, you can get it from the seat of your truck made of flowers.
